...her “Duet” was the evening’s most remarkable and most experimental piece, and Ms. Webber’s score, sometimes abrasive, showed a kindred spirit.

Duet

for The Ashley Bouder Project at Symphony Space, March 2017

"The Ashley Bouder project returns to New York for the first time since the summer of 2015 with two brand new ballets, plus a revival of Susan Stroman's "Blossom Got Kissed" set to Duke Ellington.

Ashley Bouder will choreograph to a newly commissioned score by NY Jazzharmonic associate director Miho Hazama. And modern dance pioneer Liz Gerring will collaborate with award winning NYC based composer Anna Webber, creating a "pas de deux" featuring both Ms. Bouder, and fellow NYC Ballet principal dancer Sara Mearns. This will mark one of the very first times that these two prima ballerinas will appear together onstage.

The New York Jazzharmonic, a resident jazz big band at Symphony Space since 2015 will accompany."
