INTERSECTION

We made Intersection as a dance film installation with Liz Gerring, filmmaker Orfeas Skutelis, and composer Michael J. Schumacher.

When we installed Intersection at Shirley Project Space in Brooklyn, we expanded the work into the gallery with Michael J. Schumacher’s generative sound score and live dancers who periodically entered the space.

Liz has been interested in bringing dance into gallery and visual art spaces for some time. An earlier project connected to Ellsworth Kelly is another example of that approach.

We are interested in continuing to explore how dance, film, sound, live performance, and visual material can come together differently within the gallery space.
